President Tinubu Arrives in Kigali for 2026 Africa CEO Forum

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 2026 Africa CEO Forum, one of the continent’s premier gatherings of business leaders, investors, and policymakers.

The Nigerian leader touched down at Kigali International Airport on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, for the two-day event scheduled to hold on May 14 and 15 at the Kigali Convention Centre.

This year’s forum, themed “Scale or Fail: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” is expected to attract over 2,500 participants, including more than 2,000 chief executives, global investors, and high-level policymakers from across Africa and beyond.

Discussions will centre on accelerating economic growth through regional integration, public-private partnerships, and cross-border investments.

Tinubu’s participation forms the final leg of a three-nation tour that included stops in France and Kenya.

He is expected to use the platform to pitch Nigeria as a prime investment destination, highlighting ongoing economic reforms, opportunities in key sectors, and the country’s commitment to fostering private sector-led growth.

Accompanying or participating alongside the President are prominent figures such as industrialist Aliko Dangote and Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate.

The forum is organised in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Tinubu is joined by several other African heads of state at the high-profile gathering. He is expected to return to Nigeria after the event.

The Africa CEO Forum remains Africa’s largest annual private sector summit, providing a key platform for dialogue between governments and business leaders on unlocking the continent’s economic potential.
