President Kagame Receives Tinubu at Urugwiro Presidential Village

Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Wednesday received Nigerian President Bola Tinubu at the Urugwiro Presidential Village in Kigali.

The high-profile meeting underscores the growing bilateral relations between Nigeria and Rwanda as both leaders engage on issues of mutual interest, including regional stability, economic cooperation, and continental development.

President Tinubu is in Rwanda as part of his official working visit to strengthen ties between the two nations. The Urugwiro Presidential Village, a key seat of Rwanda’s presidency, has hosted several important diplomatic engagements in the past.

Details of the closed-door discussions between the two presidents are expected to be released later.

The visit is believed to cover trade, investment opportunities, security collaboration in the Great Lakes region, and support for African Union initiatives.

This meeting comes at a time when Nigeria continues to deepen its engagement with East African countries to boost economic partnerships and intra-African trade under the AfCFTA framework.
