Obi, Kwankwaso’s Exit Will Spur Us to Work Harder – David Mark

National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has said the recent defection of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will motivate the party to work even harder ahead of the 2027 elections.

Mark made the remark on Wednesday in Abuja while addressing members of the Forum of ADC Former and Serving Federal Lawmakers at the party’s secretariat.

“No doubt, the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact, but it will spur us to work harder,” he said.

The former Senate President expressed confidence that the party would present credible candidates with the capacity to win elections in 2027, adding that the challenges would ultimately strengthen the ADC’s resolve.

Meanwhile, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, said the ADC is not disturbed by the defections.

Abdullahi noted that the departing lawmakers merely followed individuals they believe would guarantee their electoral success.

“The people who left followed their idols whom they believe would help them win elections. We wish them good luck, but the core structures of our party remain intact,” he said.
