Festus Keyamo, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, on Wednesday received a high-profile courtesy visit from popular businessman and socialite, Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana.
Obi Cubana, who serves as the South-East Regional Director of the City Boy Movement, briefed the minister on the group’s activities and mobilisation efforts across the South-East geopolitical zone.
In a statement after the meeting, Keyamo said the two leaders also discussed and mapped out areas of strategic cooperation between the movement and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The minister expressed strong optimism following the engagement, declaring that the South-East is now fully prepared to support the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
“From our discussions, it is obvious that the South-East is ready to roll for APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu!” Keyamo stated.
The visit is seen as a significant move by the City Boy Movement, a growing political pressure and support group to deepen its presence and influence in the South-East ahead of future elections.
