Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has declared that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state have thrown their full weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027.
Radda made the declaration on Saturday while addressing journalists during the APC ward and local government-level exercise in his hometown, where party members gathered to endorse Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate.
The governor described the massive turnout as a clear demonstration of party unity and commitment to democratic processes.
“We are here to exercise our rights as APC members. Every APC member is supposed to be in his ward and local government to cast his vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be our candidate for the 2027 general elections,” Radda said.
He commended the large number of supporters who turned out, saying it reflected strong confidence in the leadership of the APC and President Tinubu.
“This is a testimony of democratic processes and democratic development in our nation,” he added.
Radda expressed optimism that the overwhelming support witnessed would translate into victory for Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 elections.
“What we saw today has given us confidence and strengthened us that in 2027, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will come back for his second term to steer the affairs of this nation,” the governor stated.
He dismissed criticisms and negative narratives against the President, insisting that such claims do not reflect the reality on the ground.
“All this noise by the noisemakers who are creating negative impressions is not true. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is on ground and is being supported by the teeming APC members in the state and the teeming population,” Radda asserted.
The governor described the exercise as a good test that has boosted the party’s confidence ahead of the general elections.
