‘I Spent N100m, You Can’t Dump Me’ - Aggrieved Aspirant Fubara Dagogo Drags APC to Court

An aggrieved All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant, Ambassador Fubara Dagogo, has dragged the ruling party and its top officials to the Federal High Court in Abuja over his alleged unlawful exclusion from the race for National Vice Chairman (South-South).

Dagogo, who claims to have spent over N100 million in pursuit of the position ahead of the party’s national convention, accused APC leaders of sidelining him despite fulfilling all requirements.

In court documents filed before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, the plaintiff stated that he paid for the expression of interest and nomination forms but was denied access to the forms at the party’s national secretariat.

“You cannot discard me after I spent over N100 million pursuing this ambition,” Dagogo reportedly declared in his suit.

He named the APC, its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom, and National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, as defendants.

The aspirant is seeking an order from the court to nullify any outcome of the South-South zonal congress held without his participation.

He is also demanding N100 million in damages for the embarrassment, emotional distress, and mental torture he claims to have suffered.

According to his affidavit, Dagogo paid the required fees on March 13, 2026, and visited the APC secretariat to collect the forms, only to be told they were no longer available.

He alleged that certain party officials deliberately blocked him, fearing he could defeat the incumbent.

However, the APC, through its legal team, has asked the court to dismiss the suit, arguing that the matter is an internal affair of the party and therefore not justiciable.

The case is seen as another sign of growing internal dissent within the APC as the party gears up for its national convention and future elections.
