Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, accompanied by his wife, Oluremi Hamzat, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to formally present the official results of the Lagos State APC gubernatorial primary held ahead of the 2027 election.
The visit, which took place at the President’s residence, underscores the strong alliance and coordination within the Lagos APC structure as the party prepares for the next governorship race.
During the meeting, Hamzat expressed deep gratitude to President Tinubu and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for entrusting him with the party’s governorship ticket, describing the nomination as both a great honour and a significant responsibility.
“My focus remains on building a Lagos where families can thrive, businesses can grow, and our young people can find meaningful opportunities,” Hamzat stated.
He also thanked his supporters and party faithful for the confidence reposed in him, assuring that the coming years would be dedicated to translating shared aspirations into concrete development and improved living standards for all residents of the state.
The presentation of the primary results to the President is seen as a key step in consolidating support and aligning strategies within the ruling party in Lagos.
