Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, former APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and other notable figures have jointly contributed the sum of ₦50 million towards the purchase of President Bola Tinubu’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 general elections.
The contribution is part of efforts by Tinubu’s loyalists to support his re-election bid on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).Governor Yusuf, who recently declared his commitment to work for President Tinubu’s return in 2027, was among the key contributors to the fund.
The donation comes shortly after President Tinubu formally commenced his re-election process, with his nomination forms picked on his behalf by Hon. James Faleke.
Dr. Ganduje, a staunch ally of the President, has consistently maintained that the North will massively back Tinubu’s second-term ambition, citing the absence of a better alternative.
The N50 million contribution is seen as a strong show of solidarity and financial support from key political figures in the North towards ensuring Tinubu’s smooth return to the presidential race.
