Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has announced the recall of all government officials who were placed on suspension.
The governor made the announcement during a church service to mark the 2026 Father’s Day at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki.
Nwifuru said the decision was taken to honour the workers for their unflinching support and loyalty to his administration.
He applauded the affected officials and other workers for standing firm with the government, describing their commitment as worthy of recognition.
The recall is expected to take immediate effect, allowing the suspended officials to return to their duties.
This development comes as a significant gesture from the governor aimed at fostering unity and boosting morale within the state’s civil service.
