In a major political development, former Communications and Digital Economy Minister, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, has been declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Gombe State.
Pantami, who recently withdrew from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in the state, reportedly reached out to PDP leaders in Gombe, particularly those aligned with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to secure the party’s ticket.
His request was approved.He was formally announced as the PDP candidate today at a well-attended gathering that had in attendance Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo, a former Governor of Gombe State.
