The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced fresh extensions for the sale and submission of nomination forms for aspirants seeking various positions in the 2027 general elections.
According to the updated timetable, the sale of forms will now close at midnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, while the submission of completed forms has been extended to midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The screening of aspirants will now hold from Friday, May 8 to Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with the publication of successfully screened aspirants scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The party had earlier set earlier deadlines, but the extensions are believed to be in response to popular demands from stakeholders and to give more aspirants sufficient time to obtain and submit their forms.
This development is expected to trigger increased activity within the party as aspirants race to meet the new deadlines for the 2027 polls.
