Adamawa Governor Reshuffles Cabinet, Redeploys Commissioners

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle, redeploying several commissioners in a bid to strengthen service delivery and optimise the performance of his administration.

The changes, which took immediate effect, were announced by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.

Key redeployments include:

Muhammad Chubado, formerly Commissioner for Energy Development, has been moved to the Ministry of Health and Human Services.

Sali Idris has been redeployed from the Ministry of Livestock Development to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Professor David Jatau takes over the Ministry of Livestock Development (with Commissioner for Special Duties, Usman Lamurde, overseeing the ministry in an interim capacity while Jatau is on sick leave).

Leader Leneke has been appointed as the new Commissioner for Information and Strategy following the resignation of the previous commissioner, James Iliya.

The reshuffle also involved other portfolio adjustments aimed at aligning commissioners with roles that best suit their strengths and the current needs of the state.

Governor Fintiri expressed confidence in the affected officials and charged them to discharge their duties with dedication, accountability, and transparency.

He warned against any form of sabotage and urged seamless collaboration for the overall development of Adamawa State.

This latest cabinet adjustment is part of ongoing efforts by the Fintiri administration to ensure efficient governance and improved service delivery to the people of Adamawa.
