Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has presented the results of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ogun East Senatorial District primary election to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Abiodun, who emerged victorious in the primary with a landslide margin, formally submitted the outcome to the President as part of ongoing consultations and alignment within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abiodun polled 75,550 votes out of 99,503 total votes cast in the Ogun East senatorial primary, winning across all nine local government areas in the district.
The presentation underscores Abiodun’s strong position in Ogun East politics and his readiness to contest the senatorial seat after completing his tenure as governor.
It also highlights continued coordination between the state leadership and the presidency on party matters.
The development comes as the APC consolidates its structures across the country in preparation for the next electoral cycle.
