The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction backed by Nyesom
Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has released its
timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 elections.
In a statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Umar
Bature, the PDP organising secretary, the party pegged the presidential form at
N51 million, comprising N1 million for expression of interest and N50 million
for nomination.
Governorship aspirants are required to pay N20 million for
the nomination form and N1 million for the expression of interest form.
The party set the senatorial nomination form at N5 million,
while the expression of interest form costs N1 million.
For the house of representatives, aspirants are to pay N3
million for the nomination form and N1 million for the expression of interest
form.
The nomination form for the state houses of assembly costs
N3 million, while the expression of interest form is pegged at N1 million.
According to the party, female aspirants are to pay only for
the expression of interest forms for all positions.
The party said the presidential primary election will be
held on May 17 and 18, while house of representatives primaries will take place
on May 21, followed by senate primaries on May 23.
State houses of assembly primaries are slated for May 25,
while governorship primaries will be conducted on May 27.
