Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, on Wednesday hosted the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Gautier Mignot, at his private residence in Onitsha.
Describing the meeting as an honour and privilege, Obi said the engagement provided an opportunity for enriching discussions on issues of mutual interest between Nigeria and the European Union.
In a statement shared on his verified social media platforms, Obi wrote: “Today, Wednesday, I had the honour and privilege of hosting the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Mr. Gautier Mignot at my residence in Onitsha. It was an enriching meeting as we shared some useful conversations.”
The closed-door meeting comes amid ongoing diplomatic engagements between Nigerian political stakeholders and international partners, particularly on economic development, governance, security, and bilateral relations.
