The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly reaffirmed its unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, dismissing rumours of withdrawal ahead of his second-term bid.
In a statement issued on April 17, 2026, and signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Auwalu Abdullahi Soja, the APC described claims by a group called the Arewa APC Forum, Kano State Chapter, as false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to sow confusion and disunity within the party.
The statement emphasised that no recognised or constitutionally recognised organ of the APC in Kano has taken any decision to withdraw support for President Tinubu.
“The so-called forum is not known to the party structure and does not represent the views of APC members in Kano State,” the party said.
Kano APC, under the leadership of Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, urged party members and the public to disregard the purported withdrawal, describing it as the handiwork of mischief-makers and faceless individuals.
The party reiterated its confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and his administration’s commitment to good governance, economic reforms, and national development.
