American rapper Offset, a former member of the popular hip-hop group Migos, was reportedly shot on Monday evening outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
His representative confirmed the incident, stating that Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) sustained a gunshot wound and is currently receiving medical care at a hospital.
The spokesperson added that he is in stable condition and is being closely monitored.The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. in the valet area of the casino.
According to Seminole Police, a person suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and two other individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.
Authorities have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.Offset, who was previously married to fellow rapper Cardi B with whom he shares three children, is a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
He rose to fame as part of Migos before pursuing a successful solo career.Further details about the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear as investigations continue.
