The Kwara State Police Command has deployed personnel to churches, public spaces, and other strategic locations across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure Easter celebration.
The deployment aims to provide adequate security cover for worshippers and residents during the Easter period, which includes Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday.
According to a statement from the command, officers have been strategically positioned at churches, motor parks, shopping complexes, recreational centres, and other high-traffic public areas to prevent any form of criminal activity or breach of peace.
The police urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or security agencies.
This proactive measure is part of broader efforts by security agencies in Nigeria to maintain law and order during major religious festivities, especially in light of recent security challenges in parts of the country.
Residents of Kwara State have been advised to cooperate with security operatives and go about their Easter activities without fear, as the command assured that adequate measures have been put in place for their safety.
