Nafiu Bala Gombe Claps Back at Kwankwaso: “I’m 46, Not 35, Oldies Should Step Aside”

Nafiu Bala Gombe has fired back at Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, correcting claims about his age and accusing the former Kano governor of acting like an APC mole with no business interfering in ADC matters.

Bala Gombe stated clearly that he is 46 years old, not 35 as allegedly claimed by Kwankwaso. He challenged him to conduct proper research before making such assertions.

“Even if I were young, Kwankwaso has no right to look down on me,” he said. He reminded the senator that he and many of today’s leaders were very young when they took up major public offices.

Bala Gombe urged Kwankwaso and other “oldies” in politics to step aside for the younger generation, just as they were given opportunities in their own youth.

“They should allow youths to steer the affairs of our parties and the country while they play advisory roles,” he declared.

He further described Kwankwaso as “still an APC mole,” recalling that in 2023, Atiku Abubakar and northern leaders tried to persuade him to step down for the sake of Arewa votes, but he refused.

“Having refused to step down then, he has no moral justification to bully or advise me on the injustice being done to me by impostors in the ADC,” Bala Gombe said.

He warned Kwankwaso to join the ADC through the proper channel if he wishes to participate and advised him to study the party’s constitution.

Bala Gombe stressed that Kwankwaso is not a member of the ADC and therefore has no right to intervene in the party’s current crisis.“I cannot be bullied by anyone,” he added.
