‘Leave Our Party Alone’ – Bala Leads Protest Against David Mark’s ADC Faction

Protesters took to the streets of Abuja on Thursday, demanding that prominent opposition leaders stay away from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The demonstration was led by factional ADC National Chairman, Nafiu Bala, who accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and former Senate President David Mark of attempting to hijack the party.

Bala was joined by ADC House of Representatives member, Hon. Leke Abejide, and a large group of supporters carrying placards with messages such as “Woe to Political Marauders” and “Hon. Nafiu Bala, We Stand With You.”

“Leave our party alone,” the protesters chanted, insisting that the ADC remains under its current leadership and warning against external interference.

The protest appears to be a direct counter to an earlier demonstration staged by the David Mark-led faction at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The development highlights the deepening leadership crisis and factional battles within the ADC as opposition parties continue to explore alliances ahead of future elections.
