Iran: I Don’t Care About Committing War Crimes - Trump

United States President Donald Trump has openly stated that he is “not at all” concerned about the possibility of committing war crimes in the ongoing conflict with Iran.

The remark comes as Trump issued a fresh warning to obliterate Iran’s bridges and power plants if Tehran fails to meet his Tuesday 8pm ET deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent, the US and Israel carried out strikes on 17 civilian sites on Tuesday morning.

Humanitarian NGOs have strongly condemned the attacks as war crimes, with the Iranian Red Crescent stating there is “no justification” for targeting defenseless civilians.

Trump reiterated his position on Truth Social, brushing aside concerns over potential violations of international law.

A spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had earlier warned that international law prohibits attacks on critical civilian infrastructure such as bridges and power plants.

The escalation has raised global concerns over the humanitarian impact of the US-Israel military campaign against Iran.
