A group of armed local hunters reportedly attacked a police station in Zamfara State, leaving one officer injured.
The incident occurred on April 2 at about 6:55 pm at the Dansadau Police Station.
A security analyst in the Lake Chad Basin, Zagazola Makama, said 14 hunters, led by Yunusa Ali, arrived at the station carrying AK-47 rifles.
In a post on his X handle, he said the hunters were reportedly looking for a police officer with whom they had a disagreement the previous day.
The attackers allegedly attempted to seize the officer, but other officers on duty intervened. During the clash, one police officer was injured.
After facing resistance, the hunters withdrew from the scene.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the attack and prevent further violence.
