The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has pushed back against criticism from the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate over Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s performance in office.
The PDP flagbearer faulted the governor’s record, arguing that progress in critical sectors has been slow and that residents are yet to feel the impact of government policies.
Responding, the APC described the remarks as political and out of touch with realities on the ground.
The party said Oyebanji has recorded measurable strides in road construction, school rehabilitation, healthcare delivery, and job creation since he took office.
It listed ongoing infrastructure projects, investments in agriculture, and social intervention schemes as proof of the administration’s commitment to development, and urged the opposition to acknowledge what it called visible achievements.
The PDP, however, insisted that the state needs a new direction, maintaining that current efforts fall short of citizens’ expectations.
