Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Gantry Price by ₦75 to ₦1,275 per Litre

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the ex-gantry (depot) price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) by ₦75 per litre, bringing the new price to ₦1,275 per litre.

This represents an approximate 5.02% upward review from the previous ₦1,200 level.

According to a pricing template shared by industry sources, the refinery also hiked the price of diesel (Automotive Gas Oil) by ₦200 per litre to ₦1,950.

The adjustments are attributed to prevailing conditions in the international crude oil market, including volatility driven by geopolitical tensions.

A source familiar with the development explained that the changes reflect external market realities that directly influence refined product pricing.

“Petrol has been reviewed upward by ₦75 to ₦1,275 per litre, which is about a five per cent increase, while diesel has increased more significantly by ₦200 to ₦1,950 per litre,” the official stated.

The new gantry prices from Nigeria’s largest refinery are expected to influence pump prices at retail outlets across the country, potentially adding pressure on transporters, businesses, and households already contending with high living costs.

This latest movement comes amid ongoing fluctuations in global oil prices, with the Dangote Refinery periodically adjusting its ex-depot rates in line with international benchmarks since it began supplying the Nigerian market.
