The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has arrived in Zamfara State for an operational visit to the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force, Operation Fansa Yamma.
The visit aims to strengthen ongoing military operations and enhance security across the North-West region.Upon arrival at the Command Headquarters, General Oluyede was warmly received by senior military commanders and principal staff officers of the operation.
He was later accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour.According to Defence Headquarters, the operational visit highlights the military high command’s commitment to boosting troop morale and consolidating gains in the fight against banditry and other security threats in the region.
The Chief of Defence Staff is expected to use the opportunity to assess the progress of current operations, interact directly with frontline troops, and review strategies aimed at restoring lasting peace and security in Zamfara State and the wider North-West zone.
