An old 2017 social media post by Rauf Aregbesola praising President Bola Tinubu has resurfaced online following his recent criticism of the administration.
In the old post, which has now gone viral on X, Aregbesola described Tinubu as “a giant pathfinder” and “one rare breed of a pathfinder,” crediting him with shaping his political career and transforming Lagos State.
The resurfaced praise comes shortly after Aregbesola, at an African Democratic Congress (ADC) event, described the Tinubu administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda as “a government of scammers” and warned Nigerians against allowing “scammers” to retain power in 2027.
The development has sparked reactions from netizens who are contrasting Aregbesola’s past glowing tribute with his current stance as a vocal critic and key figure in the opposition ADC.
