The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that it possesses the capacity to govern Nigeria for the next 100 years under the leadership of its National Chairman, Hon. Nentawe Yilwatda.
Yobe State APC Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Gadaka, made the bold assertion on Thursday at the Yobe Leadership and Innovation Summit 2026, organised by the Centre for Leadership and Good Governance in Damaturu.
Represented by the State Party Youth Leader, Hon. Muhammad Musa Gulani, Gadaka expressed strong confidence in the party’s future dominance, attributing it to what he described as its “commendable policies and programmes.”
“Our party’s vision is to remain in power at the federal, state, and local government levels for the next 100 years and beyond,” he said. “We need more time and additional terms to fully address Nigeria’s challenges.”
Gadaka added that the APC is focused on improving the lives of Nigerians and building a strong, united nation.
“The APC will continue to build a Nigeria that works for all—strong, united, and full of hope. We call on Nigerians to have confidence in the APC government; the economy of this country will eventually work for all citizens,” he stated.
The summit also served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, particularly his empowerment of young people in governance.
Chief Convener of the summit, Faruk Abdullahi Chiromari, praised Governor Buni for appointing numerous young men and women as commissioners, special advisers, board members, local government officials, and legislative aides.
The declaration comes as the APC continues to position itself for the 2027 general elections and beyond, amid ongoing national debates about the future of Nigeria’s democracy.
