Julius Abure, factional National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has rejected the Court of Appeal’s judgement affirming Nenadi Usman as the party’s chairman and will challenge the ruling at the Supreme Court.
Abure’s legal team is set to file an appeal at the apex court to contest the decision on the party’s leadership crisis.
The Court of Appeal ruling followed a January 21 judgement by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which reaffirmed the Supreme Court’s April 4, 2025 decision removing Abure as National Chairman of the LP.
