Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday paid a heartfelt condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai at his residence in Abuja following the passing of El-Rufai’s mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
The Vice President, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the visit, expressed deep sympathies to El-Rufai and the entire bereaved family. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and urged the family to find solace in her long and impactful life.
Hajiya Umma El-Rufai passed away recently, prompting an outpouring of condolences from prominent Nigerians. Her funeral prayers were held at the National Mosque in Abuja, attended by several dignitaries including Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago of Niger State and other political figures.
