Tinubu Redeploys Permanent Secretaries, Renews Tenure for Three


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the redeployment of several Permanent Secretaries across federal ministries and the renewal of tenure for three others in the Federal Civil Service.


The redeployments, effective from March 5, 2026, were announced in a statement by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack. 


Handover and takeover processes must be completed by Friday, March 13, 2026.


The redeployed Permanent Secretaries are:

Kambari Mahmud Adam – Environment → Aviation and Aerospace Development   

Rimi Nura Abba – Industry, Trade and Investment → Steel Development   

Danjuma Mohammed Sanusi – Special Services Office & Political/Economic Affairs (OSGF) → Finance (Special Duties)

Isokpunwu Christopher Osaruwanwem – Steel Development → Industry, Trade and Investment

Salihu Aminu Usman – Labour & Employment → Environment

Ukaire Binyerem Chigbonwu – Career Management Office (OHCSF) → Information and National Orientation (to understudy Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam)

Muhammed Muktari Yawale – Arts, Culture, Tourism & Creative Economy → Innovation, Science and Technology (to understudy Philip E. Ndiomu)

Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi – Special Duties Office (OHCSF) → Arts, Culture, Tourism & Creative Economy

Separately, President Tinubu approved a second and final four-year tenure renewal for three Permanent Secretaries, effective April 27, 2026:Ms. Kachallom Shangti Daju – Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare

Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba – Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice

Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe – Ministry of Regional Development

 

Mrs. Walson-Jack congratulated the reappointed officials and urged them to demonstrate greater dedication and excellence, leveraging their experience to enhance service delivery under the Renewed Hope Agenda.


These moves are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and ensure continuity in critical leadership positions within the Federal Civil Service.
