President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday received Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, the designate for Minister of State for Finance, in audience at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting comes shortly after President Tinubu nominated Oyedele, formerly Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms to replace Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite in the finance ministry portfolio.
The nomination was forwarded to the Senate for confirmation last week.During the engagement, discussions centered on advancing Nigeria’s ongoing fiscal reforms, strengthening economic management, and building on recent tax policy improvements to support national development goals.
Oyedele’s appointment is viewed as a strategic move to deepen reforms in taxation and public finance, leveraging his expertise from leading the tax overhaul committee.
