PSC Elevates 13 CPs to AIGs, 17 DCPs to CPs in Merit-Based Exercise


The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 13 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to the prestigious rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), alongside other senior officers, following a rigorous merit-based assessment.


According to a statement from the Commission, the promotions were determined after successful performance in written examinations and oral interviews held at the PSC's corporate headquarters in Abuja.


Among the officers elevated to AIG are:

Emmanuel Ado Christopher (former CP, Yobe State) 

Joseph Eribo (former CP, Ekiti State) 

Dantawaye Miller (former CP, FCT)

Uche Ifeanyi Henry (Director, National Cyber Crime Center)

Olarenwaju Peter Ogunlowo (former CP, Ogun State)

Muhammad Dahiru (former CP, Jigawa State)

Dankombo Morris (former CP, Adamawa State)

Bello Shehu (former CP, Katsina State)

Ahmed Musa (former CP, Sokoto State)

Simeon Udofia Akpanudom (former CP, Anti-Fraud FCID Annex Lagos)

Haruna Olufemi (former CP, Oyo State)

Ibrahim B. Maikaba

Olohundare Moshood Jimoh

 

In the same promotion exercise, 17 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were advanced to the rank of Commissioners of Police. 


The newly promoted CPs include Abdulrahim Audu Shaibu, Abbas Sule, Ojugbele Adebola, Preye Raymond Egbetokun, Kayode Uthman Magaji, Adebisi Bola Lateef, Markus Ishaku Basiran, Silas Bamidele Aremu, and others.


Additionally, the PSC approved the elevation of 19 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), as well as 35 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) to Assistant Commissioners of Police.
