The Minister of Defence has declared that no single security service or agency can effectively tackle Nigeria’s complex security challenges alone.
Speaking at a high-level engagement, the minister stressed the need for stronger collaboration among all security agencies, saying synergy, intelligence sharing, and joint operations are critical to winning the war against insecurity.
“No single service, security agency can solve security challenges,” he said, adding that the Defence and Interior ministries must work as one to close existing gaps in Nigeria’s security architecture.
The minister urged all stakeholders to embrace a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach, emphasising that isolated efforts by any agency would yield limited results in the face of evolving threats like banditry, insurgency, and other forms of criminality.
He called for improved inter-agency cooperation, seamless intelligence flow, and coordinated action to restore peace and stability across the country.
