The Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kebbi State, Abubakar Bawa, has officially resigned from the party, effective immediately.
Bawa conveyed his decision in a resignation letter dated March 30, addressed to the Ward Chairman of Kalgo Ward in Kalgo Local Government Area.
In the letter, he thanked the party for the opportunity to serve, acknowledging the support and cooperation he received during his tenure.
“I thank the party for the platform given to me to contribute my quota and wish the PDP continued success and progress,” Bawa stated.
His exit is generating political interest within the Kebbi PDP, particularly as it coincides with subtle realignments ahead of upcoming elections.
The resignation comes unexpectedly, as Bawa had only recently reaffirmed in an interview with Channels Television that the state chapter would participate in the controversial, Wike-backed factional convention held in Abuja.
Political observers are now speculating about possible internal rifts and shifting dynamics within the Kebbi State chapter of the PDP.
