The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disbursed a total of N1,570,671,200 to accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres that facilitated the registration process for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This payment covers the N700 registration service charge that JAMB collects from candidates on behalf of the CBT centres during the e-PIN registration.
JAMB handles the collection alongside the main registration fees and remits these funds directly to the centres on a weekly basis, following verification that the registered candidates are valid and properly recorded in the system.
The transparent, cashless remittance process is designed to prevent exploitation and ensure that CBT centres receive their entitled compensation promptly.
This arrangement aligns with JAMB's ongoing efforts to maintain integrity in the registration and examination processes.
The 2026 UTME registration exercise has seen strong participation, with JAMB expanding the number of accredited CBT centres nationwide to support candidates effectively.
The board has previously emphasized that official registration fees remain unchanged (e.g., N7,200 for UTME only without mock, N8,700 with mock), and it continues to warn against any overcharging by centres.
This remittance underscores JAMB's commitment to fair dealings with accredited partners involved in the UTME process.
