Benue State Governor, Reverend Hyacinth Alia, has declared an uncompromising war on insecurity, vowing to restore lasting peace and protect lives, farmlands, and communities across the state.
The governor made the declaration during a security briefing on the deployment and reinforcement of additional security personnel to troubled hotspots, particularly in Kwande and other affected Local Government Areas.
In a statement issued by his Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev, Governor Alia commended the ongoing efforts of security agencies in restoring calm to impacted communities.
He stressed that perpetrators of violence and insecurity would face justice without exception.
The statement described the fresh deployment of security forces as a decisive step toward permanently clamping down on criminal elements disrupting peace in the state.
Governor Alia reiterated his administration’s resolve to hunt down bandits and all those bent on causing chaos, assuring residents that the government would spare no effort in safeguarding their lives, properties, and livelihoods.
He emphasized that the present administration remains undeterred by any form of resistance from criminal groups and would sustain aggressive measures until total peace is achieved in Benue State.
