The Gombe State Police Command has successfully apprehended three suspected kidnappers in a proactive operation based on credible intelligence, preventing a planned abduction in Bauchi State.
The arrests occurred on March 10 at approximately 10:00 p.m., when police operatives, supported by local hunters, swooped in to detain the suspects.
The individuals in custody are:
Mohammed Abubakar, 29
Mohammed Bello, 23
Mohammadu Ali, 25
All three are residents of Galda Village in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to conspiring to carry out a kidnapping operation targeting an unspecified location in neighboring Bauchi State.
Police authorities confirmed that investigations remain active to gather additional evidence, identify any other potential accomplices, and uncover the full scope of the alleged plot.
