The office of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ubima, Ikwerre LGA of Rivers state, has been set ablaze by unknown persons.
Ubima is the hometown of Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of
Rivers and a chieftain of the ADC.
Amaechi was scheduled to officially register as a party
member at Ward 8 in Ubima by 10:00am on Friday.
Residents of the community reportedly woke up to an early
morning fire that destroyed a section of the party office.
The incident caused panic among residents in the area.
