The All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected Hon. Ahmad Garba MK as the new chairman of the party in Jigawa State.
Ahmad Garba MK emerged as chairman following the party’s state congress, held on Tuesday at the Dutse Stadium.
Declaring him the winner alongside other executives, the state APC Congress Chairman, Auwalu Malu, said the newly elected state executives were chosen by consensus.
Others elected include Usaini Nadabo as Secretary and Naziru Dahiru Jahun as Deputy Chairman, among other executive members.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman expressed gratitude to party members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to strengthen unity within the party and consolidate its achievements at the state level.
He also assured members of inclusive leadership and a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilisation.
Ahmad affirmed the executive’s determination to remain steadfast and work collectively to advance the party’s objectives in the state.
He commended party stakeholders for finding them worthy and assured members that he would work diligently towards the party’s victory in the 2027 election.
According to him: “We will work hard towards the victory of the party. We will ensure we delivered over two million votes to Tinubu as promised by our governor.
“We will also not tolerate dual membership of political parties. You cannot be in APC and ADC at the same time. This is not possible. We will take action against anyone found wanting.”
