The National Chairman, All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has reiterated the party’s commitment to strengthening democracy, promoting national development, and empowering Nigeria’s youths, while emphasising the importance of party unity and inclusive governance.
Speaking on leadership on his X handle on Monday, Yilwatda said that guiding the party and the nation is “a responsibility to serve with integrity, humility, and a clear commitment to progress,” noting that building structures that reflect the aspirations of Nigerians remains a key priority.
On party unity, he stressed that a cohesive political organisation is essential for national stability, maintaining that the party is working to deepen internal democracy and ensure every member feels valued in the collective pursuit of national development.
He also highlighted the importance of democratic institutions, transparent leadership, and public accountability.
“Democracy thrives where institutions are respected, and voices are heard. Public service must be guided by integrity, accountability, and compassion.
“Youth empowerment remains a central focus for the APC.
“Nigeria’s young people are not just the future; they are active partners in shaping our present,” the party said, calling for the creation of opportunities that allow young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to development.
In addition, the APC national chairman emphasised political inclusion and dialogue as key tools for strengthening national unity.
“Our diversity is our greatest strength. Through dialogue, mutual respect, and shared purpose, we can build a nation where every citizen feels represented and valued,” he noted.
He concluded by affirming its commitment to reform, innovation, and hope for Nigeria’s future, saying that with unity, discipline, and a shared vision, the country can achieve prosperity and opportunity for all citizens.
