Rinsola Abiola, daughter of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election has predicted a decisive and emphatic re-election victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Abiola, who serves as Director-General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, made the prediction on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, during the inauguration of the City Boy Movement's Ogun State executives.
The socio-political group, which she coordinates, is mobilizing youth support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.
The event also included the distribution of food palliatives to over 5,000 households across 236 wards in the state, timed to mark the Christian Lenten season and Ramadan fasting period.
She attributed her confidence to Tinubu’s youth-focused policies, noting that young people constitute about 70% of Nigeria’s population.
Key initiatives she highlighted include youth inclusion in governance, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, healthcare improvements, and economic re-engineering to secure a better future for the younger generation.
“The opposition is nowhere to be found,” Abiola stated. “It is already becoming clearer that President Tinubu’s second-term victory will be decisive, resounding and emphatic.”
She further connected Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to her father’s Hope ’93 campaign slogan, describing the President as a loyal ally who is carrying forward MKO Abiola’s vision.
“President Tinubu will definitely carry the torch to the finishing line by May 2031, by the grace of God,” she added.
The City Boy Movement, patronized by Seyi Tinubu among others, emphasizes youth empowerment and compassionate initiatives.
Barrister Abeeb White, Deputy Coordinator, urged young people to engage politically and support Tinubu to sustain ongoing reforms.
Olamide Lawal, Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on Youth Affairs, reinforced the APC’s dedication to creating opportunities for youths.
