Tunji Disu has assumed duty as the assistant inspector-general of police (AIG) of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) annex, Alagbon, Lagos state.
Disu assumed duty on February 9 to succeed Margaret Ochalla,
who is currently attending a short-term professional training programme in the
United States.
Speaking on his assumption of duty, Disu promised to
strengthen the operational and investigation capacity of FCID annex, Alagbon.
Disu said he will inculcate the zero-tolerance approach to
corruption, while calling on stakeholders to support the police in the fight
against corruption.
“I appreciate the IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, for counting me
worthy of this opportunity to serve in this capacity,” Disu was quoted in a
statement by Mayegun Aminat, spokesperson of FCID Alagbon.
