President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday hosted Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani at the Presidential Villa, where the governor briefed him on the successful rescue of worshippers abducted from churches in the state.
The meeting centered on security developments in Kaduna, with Governor Sani providing a detailed update on the January 18, 2026, kidnapping of worshippers in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area.
According to the governor, sustained joint operations by Kaduna State security outfits and federal agencies over the past week resulted in the safe release of all the abducted victims.
The briefing highlighted the coordinated efforts between state and national security forces in addressing the persistent threat of banditry and kidnapping in the region.
President Tinubu is expected to continue receiving regular security updates from affected states as the administration works to strengthen nationwide responses to insecurity.
