Cubana Chief Priest Remains Director of CBM in Imo State – Tinubu’s Group Debunks Removal Rumors

The national leadership of the City Boy Movement (CBM), a youth support group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, has officially quashed rumors claiming that socialite Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been sacked or replaced as its Director in Imo State.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, CBM Director-General Francis Shoga labeled the reports—of an alleged internal review, appointment reversal, rival leadership claims, or factional disputes—as false, misleading, and designed to undermine the group’s credibility.

Shoga confirmed that Cubana Chief Priest remains the sole officially recognized and duly appointed Director for Imo State, with no alternative appointment having been made or approved. He highlighted that the movement follows strict protocols, structure, and discipline in all appointments and operations. Any genuine leadership change would only come via official, authorized announcements.

“The City Boy Movement remains a structured and disciplined organisation,” Shoga declared. “Any ambiguity arising from recent correspondence is a ploy to discredit the integrity of the group. All our members remain united under a common objective of strengthening grassroots mobilisation and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.

"Our focus remains unwavering: mobilising support, consolidating grassroots structures, and delivering on our mandate in support of President Bola Tinubu’s vision for national development.”

He called on members, supporters, and the public to ignore unverified or sensational claims that could create unnecessary confusion, while reaffirming CBM’s commitment to unity, transparency, and disciplined nationwide operations.

Cubana Chief Priest’s appointment as Imo State Director was publicly announced earlier this month (around early February 2026), tasking him with driving youth engagement, building local structures, and championing Tinubu’s policies in the state.
