All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, paid a courtesy visit on Tuesday to prominent Islamic scholar and Hisbah Commander, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, at ZamZam International College in Kano.
In a personal and impactful gesture toward education and youth empowerment, Prof. Yilwatda pledged to fully sponsor the university education of 15 outstanding rehabilitated students, particularly bright young girls—from the college. The support will cover tuition, accommodation, and all essential costs throughout their undergraduate studies after they complete secondary school at the institution.
ZamZam International College, established by Sheikh Daurawa, provides education and rehabilitation to underprivileged, homeless, and formerly vulnerable youths, offering them a pathway to brighter futures.
The APC chairman highlighted the profound impact of educating girls, noting that it uplifts entire families, builds stronger communities, and secures Nigeria's long-term progress.
The discussions also emphasized building stronger ties between the APC and religious leaders nationwide. Both figures explored ways to advance collaboration in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda, fostering unity, religious tolerance, peace, and better harmony between political and faith-based institutions.
Prof. Yilwatda described Sheikh Daurawa as an inspiring leader whose dedication to faith, discipline, compassion, and humanitarian service has made a lasting difference. Their relationship traces back to the chairman's time as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, grounded in shared values of serving God by serving humanity.
This engagement in Kano is part of the APC National Chairman's broader efforts to strengthen social cohesion and harness Nigeria's diversity as a source of national strength.
