Yomi Gold, the Nollywood actor, has revealed a near-death experience while in Morocco, crediting a swift emergency response for saving his life.
The 45-year-old film star collapsed recently in Marrakech
after suffering a sudden, severe headache. He was rushed to the hospital and
stabilised by an emergency medical team.
In a now-deleted video posted to his Instagram on Tuesday, Gold thanked
his fans and well-wishers for their support.
“A sudden headache 🤕 nearly took me out, but by God’s mercy and the swift help of the emergency 🚨 team in Marrakech, I am here resting and recovering,” he wrote.
The actor reflected on the fragility of life in his post,
writing, “Today reminded me how fragile our breath is and how quickly
everything can change”.
He expressed profound gratitude, adding, “I give thanks to
God for preservation, for life, and for everyone He used to reach out, pray,
and check on me. May we never take health, time, or one another for granted.
Every moment is grace. 🙏🏾🤍”.
The film star also shared an update on his health on
Wednesday, stating,”God is the greatest 🤲🏿 I’m well and
feeling great🤲🏿 No panic 🫶🏿
I thank everyone who has reached out to me. Thank you for your love and
prayers”.
His update prompted an outpouring of supportive messages
from friends, colleagues, and fans.
