Davido's father breaks silence on paternity allegations against son

Billionaire businessman Dr. Deji Adeleke, father of music superstar Davido, has spoken out for the first time in a video that has gone viral, addressing the prolonged paternity controversy surrounding claims that his son fathered a teenager named Anu Adeleke.

In the video, Dr. Adeleke denied the allegations outright and referenced DNA evidence showing no biological connection between Davido and Anu.

He accused controversial journalist Dr. Kemi Olunloyo of being behind much of the ongoing online drama.

Dr. Adeleke specifically claimed that Olunloyo has been impersonating the minor on social media, stating: “Kemi Olunloyo is the one impersonating the young child ANU, and I don’t even think it’s legal for Kemi Olunloyo to be impersonating a minor.”

He further alleged that Anu’s family, including her aunt, has confirmed the accounts in question are not controlled by them and have been managed by Olunloyo for some time.

This impersonation, he said, has kept the dispute alive despite multiple negative DNA results.

In the video, he read a message from Anu's aunt: "The account is from Kemi Olunloyo whom we have cut ties with years ago... We have reached out to her several times to stop posting anything about Anu."

The Adeleke family has consistently maintained that five separate DNA tests conducted at accredited facilities have all ruled out paternity.

Davido has previously dismissed calls for additional testing as unnecessary.Dr. Adeleke emphasized that the family would welcome any genuine grandchild with open arms, he already has 14 grandchildren and the means to provide but insisted that facts and truth must come first.

The rare public intervention from the usually private patriarch comes amid renewed social media activity from Anu’s purported accounts demanding another test.

The claims, originally raised years ago by Anu’s mother Ayo Labinjoh and amplified by Olunloyo, have been repeatedly refuted by Davido’s camp, who have warned of potential legal consequences for spreading falsehoods.

Dr. Adeleke’s video has ignited fresh debate online, with many urging an end to the public feud and calling for accountability over the alleged impersonation of a minor.

The Adeleke family reiterated its position: the DNA results are conclusive, and further attempts to harass or defame them will be addressed through legal means.
