Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, has showered a concertgoer identified as Emmanuel with $1,000 at the Calabar Carnival’s Feather concert.
Midway into the concert, which was held at the U.J. Esuene
Stadium, the songstress invited Emmanuel on stage to receive the cash gift.
On stage, Tiwa jokingly teased him about his necklace,
saying, “This your chain, it doesn’t look like you need money”, prompting the
fan to remove the chain and throw it into the crowd.
Before handing over the money, the singer challenged
Emmanuel to earn it by either singing or dancing, and he chose to dance.
“You have to do something to get the money now. Can you sing
or dance? Should I give him naira or dollars?” she asked.

After his performance, Tiwa sprayed the fan with a total of
$1,000 as the crowd cheered loudly.
Emmanuel had earlier revealed that he planned to use the
money to support his food business.
The gifting came a few days after Tiwa was spotted getting
emotional, breaking down in tears and struggling to continue her performance
while singing her 2021 hit song ‘Somebody’s Son’ at the WeLovEya Festival in
Cotonou, Benin Republic.
The song, which features American singer Brandy, reflects
the singer’s longing for true love and emotional fulfilment.
