Talent manager, Tunji “Teebillz” Balogun has made a heartfelt public plea to music legend Innocent “Tuface” Idibia, urging him to seek professional help and therapy amid personal struggles.
In a lengthy Instagram post accompanied by a throwback photo of the two, Teebillz recounted an emotional moment when he returned to Nigeria for his father’s birthday:“You begged me to stay longer. You paid for my ticket change, hugged me, and cried on my shoulder… ‘Billy, I’ve had no one to talk to since you left…’ That moment—your honesty—made me love you as my big brother,” he wrote.
Without going into specific details of Tuface’s current challenges, Teebillz stressed that both men have battled their own demons and emphasised that there is “no shame in choosing life.”
He referenced the tragic ends of global icons Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince, and Nigerian legend Majek Fashek, warning that refusing help can be fatal.
“Big bro, I’m not here to judge you. I’m fighting my own demons too… Now it’s time to get help. Therapy… even clinical support if needed,”
Teebillz continued, adding that Tuface’s children “need their father alive and whole.”Closing the emotional letter, he wrote:
“I love you, King Two. You’re not alone. Let’s grow into better men and better fathers together… And honestly, it’s better to stand alone than be with a woman who only loves your best side or feeds your worst.”
The post has sparked an outpouring of concern and support from fans, with many praising Teebillz for speaking out and urging the African music icon to prioritise his mental health.
