Gunmen abducted six marketers from a Lagos-based real estate firm on Saturday while they were conducting a land inspection at Oyebola village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunlowo confirmed the incident on Sunday, stating that the victims were seized at gunpoint during their routine site visit.
Police have launched a full-scale operation to locate and rescue the victims and apprehend the kidnappers.
The abduction has heightened public anxiety over the worsening security situation across Nigeria.
